Fungal Nail Treatments
Understanding Fungal Nail Infections and Treatment Options
Fungal nail infections can develop in any nail, although they are most commonly noticeable on the big toe. These infections often result in unsightly changes, causing the nail to become brittle, crack, or even break. In some cases, the affected area may be accompanied by pain or redness, making the condition both physically and aesthetically uncomfortable.
Treating fungal nail infections can be a lengthy process, typically requiring either topical treatments or oral medications. However, oral medications often come with potential side effects, which may not be suitable for everyone.
Our Cold Laser Treatment for Fungal Nail Infections
At our clinic, we offer an innovative cold laser treatment designed to effectively address fungal nail infections. This method is non-invasive and provides an alternative to traditional treatments. The laser therapy involves a monthly session, with most patients requiring approximately 18 months of treatment for optimal results.

Terms and Conditions for Successful Treatment
To achieve the best possible results, it is crucial that patients follow a structured treatment plan. At the start of the process, you will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging your responsibilities in supporting the effectiveness of the laser therapy.
By signing this document, you agree to the following:
-
Consistent Attendance : You must attend a treatment session every four weeks and complete the full course of treatment as recommended.
-
Preventive Measures Against Reinfection : Adhere to advice provided to minimise the risk of reinfection. This includes but is not limited to: Cleaning Your Shoes: Detailed instructions will be given to ensure proper disinfection of footwear. Appropriate Nail Care: During the course of treatment, you will need to wear clear nail varnish. This varnish must be removed the night before each laser session to maintain hygiene and effectiveness.
-
Compliance Is Essential : Failure to follow the advised plan, including the prevention measures, may result in reinfection caused by fungal spores.
By understanding and committing to these guidelines, you can significantly increase the likelihood of successfully eliminating the fungal infection and preventing its recurrence.
